Conference: June 7-9

The GlobalSkin 2019 Conference is specifically designed for dermatology patient leaders and focuses on advocacy, science and research, and building strong, resilient organizations. 

The conference  consists of two-and-a-half days of plenaries, workshops and living library sessions:

  • Plenaries: 1-1.5-hour sessions which feature speakers and/or panels that explore topics in detail.
  • Workshops: 45-minute sessions where workshop leaders present to groups of 30-40 delegates to help build skills; will be offered at expert and novice levels.
  • Living Library: 30-minute sessions offering mentoring in small groups with patient leader experts.

The 24th World Congress of Dermatology (WCD) is pleased to offer patient organisations benefits at their event. There will be a patient organization village where organisations can have a complimentary stand and display their materials and meet with Congress delegates. The WCD and ILDS hope that the patient village will be a vibrant area.

Patient organizations with a stand in the Patient Village will receive:

  •  6 sqm space in a dedicated area with great visibility and people flow
  •  2 exhibitors badges that allow entry to the congress Venue and all its rooms apart from the Exhibition hall and the scientific session Rooms
  • 1 Congress bag
  • Acknowledgement in the Final Programme

In addition, there is a reduced registration fee for patient organisation representatives of 350 EUR. This registration will allow entry into scientific sessions but not the exhibition hall (in line with relevant legislation). This is a reduced fee only offered to patient organisations on application to the Congress organizers and is not available via the Congress website.
