The Global Research on the Impact of Dermatological Diseases (GRIDD) project is now officially in Phase 3 and focused on a Patient Data Verification Delphi (the Delphi). The Delphi will help us be certain that the issues our researchers have collected thus far from patients globally are truly accurate and are being communicated in a way that makes sense to patients.

The primary goal of the Delphi is to gather data from 2000 dermatology patients representing as many different dermatological diseases as possible from all regions of the globe. The Delphi is a two-step survey process will take place starting in October. The surveys will be available online in English, French, Spanish, Mandarin (simplified Chinese), and Arabic.

By being part of the GRIDD Delphi, your organization will be able to leverage new scientifically-validated research and supportive programming that can help grow your organization’s evidence-based messaging about your disease.

We welcome anyone over the age of 18, who lives with a dermatological disease or condition as a participant for the GRIDD Phase 3 - Patient Data Verification Delphi. Your support is vital to the success of the GRIDD research project.

GlobalSkin CEO Christine Janus has been invited to sit on the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) Chrysalis Project Task Force, a multi-stakeholder committee of industry, funders and advocates. The project aims to identify key criteria that would make rare diseases more attractive to industry for research and development.

We are also proud to announce that Christine Janus will present at a plenary session of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress which will be a virtual event this year. This is the first plenary presentation as part of the main EADV Congress given by a dermatology patient advocate.  GlobalSkin is thrilled to have the opportunity to present directly to the EADV membership and Congress attendees. Her presentation, “A Shared Vision: Changing the Way the World Sees Dermatology”, will take place on October 30, 2020.

GlobalSkin and the EADV are also busy preparing for their fourth annual joint special interest session entitled: "Improving your patient reviews through patient satisfaction" also taking place at this year's EADV Congress. Read about the joint special interest session in EADV’s recent newsletter.

GlobalSkin is launching the first GlobalSkin Member Impact Fund in the coming days! This grant program will financially assist GlobalSkin Members (Full and Associate) for projects that build disease awareness, support their patients, and strengthen the work of their organization.
