GlobalSkin was proud to actively participate in the 25th World Congress of Dermatology (WCD), which took place in July 2023, in Singapore. Jennifer Austin and Marc Yale headed the event with a strong delegation of Board Directors and staff.
The GlobalSkin delegation successfully connected with patient organizations, networked with healthcare professional delegates, connected with prospective funders, and above all projected and advocated for the patient voice at this important dermatology event.

Keynote: "Global Cooperation in Elevating Medical Dermatology" presented by Marc Yale, GlobalSkin Board President, and International Pemphigus Pemphigoid Foundation advocate.
This was the first keynote delivered by a patient experience expert during the World Congress of Dermatology. Jennifer Austin, GlobalSkin CEO co-chaired the session and introduced Marc.
Wonderful to have several GlobalSkin Board Directors & Members in Singapore at the GlobalSkin Skin Matters reception on Tuesday, July 4th, where attendants learned about the work GlobalSkin is undertaking to elevate the understanding and prioritization of dermatological diseases.

Symposium: Hosted by GlobalSkin and DEBRA International, "Building Impactful Patient Organizations through Supportive Partnerships" with Co-chairs, Dr. Ritu Jain and Ms. Jennifer Austin. The objective was to bring together the Asian dermatology community to explore how to foster effective interactions and collaborations to support the establishment and growth of dermatology patient organizations, particularly in Asia. It was a great success with over 55 people in attendance, and some incredible round-table discussions!

We connected with Members from the Asian region at the GlobalSkin Patient Organization Lunch, where success stories and innovative ideas from different organizations were shared. It was a wonderful way to connect, network and unite.
