Canadian Psoriasis Network
With support from the GlobalSkin Member Impact Fund, the Canadian Psoriasis Network (CPN) launched the "Get to Know Pso" campaign from March to June 2021, to learn from each other and to address common questions that members of their diverse community have.
Though everyone is different, hearing and learning from one another is exactly what the Canadian Psoriasis Network is about! The project included a social media campaign on Facebook and Instagram to solicit questions and comments from the community in March.
Throughout June they completed a Q&A social media campaign on the same channels to respond to the questions they received. They also included blog posts and video responses by CPN board members.
The project directly supported the psoriatic disease community by collecting questions and comments and sharing responses through multiple forms including social media posts, blogs, and videos. The answers provided included both a technical response (reviewed by CPN’s medical advisors) and personal answers from CPN board members who live with the condition.
This approach provides both information and awareness about topics that are important to their community and normalizes people's experiences by hearing from people who live with the conditions. Topics included questions about home-based phototherapy and causes of psoriasis and comments shared about psoriasis triggers and living well over the years.

“...And since then, I am in control of myself and my psoriasis while continuing the recommended ointments. Now I live well and I am happy because I have accepted my situation and so have all my loved ones. Life is worth living.”
