About the Regional
Engagement Workshop Series
The Regional Engagement Workshop Series is a GlobalSkin-led initiative taking place in early 2026 that brings you—our Members—together for a set of virtual sessions held across all six WHO regions. Through facilitated, structured discussions, the Series creates space for Members to:
- Share experiences
- Identify patient priorities and needs
- Explore health system challenges and opportunities
- Prepare themselves to engage in regional and national advocacy including participation in consultations
Insights from these workshops will be documented and synthesized to inform the World Health Organization’s Global Action Plan, while also strengthening GlobalSkin’s regional networks and equipping you with data necessary for amplifying the impact of the work you do in your local setting.
The Value of Your Participation in the Workshop Series
Member input is central to the Regional Engagement Workshop Series. Participation in the workshops ensures that patient experiences are captured and translated into evidence-based insights that can be used across multiple settings.
Engagement in this initiative carries the following advantages for Members:
1. Your contributions feed into evidence-based regional reports that can be used in local advocacy
4. Engagement with the World Health Organization's regional offices is reinforced through coordinated input
2. Your country-level challenges are translated into high-impact, decision-maker–focused messages
5. You help generate credible regional data to support dialogue with ministries, funders, and regulators
3. Dermatology patient priorities gain visibility within regional and global advocacy forums
6. Patient experiences help guide how the WHA Resolution on Skin Diseases is implemented in practice
