Dear Members & Stakeholders,

Happy New Year! The Board of Directors and staff at IADPO hope that 2018 brings you joy, good health, peace and prosperity. We look forward to the upcoming year as we continue to build our GlobalSkin movement. We are so pleased you are part of our growing patient community in dermatology. If your organization is not currently a Member of our Alliance, I encourage you to join us.

IADPO’s 77 members are from 34 countries, representing 25 unique disease areas, with several being a voice for all skin diseases.

I am pleased to report that we experienced year over year membership growth of 114% in 2017! Read our Year in Review for more details. Our goal in 2018 is to continue this rapid membership growth, expanding into even more countries and more dermatological disease areas.

IADPO Members are invited to participate in our Membership Matters Contest – which encourages members to make the most of their memberships with chances to win a prize! More details are available in this newsletter.

Our Global Research on the Impact of Dermatological Diseases (GRIDD) project will reach new heights in 2018, as we begin our second and third phases of this patient-driven research. The GRIDD project will provide an extended patient view for better decision-making in dermatology on a global level. It will support your local, regional and international efforts to create awareness, better position skin diseases and encourage decision-makers and stakeholders to include dermatological diseases in their policies. We will be sure to keep you updated on how your organization can get involved in this ground-breaking global skin project.

The IADPO Executive Committee and staff will represent our Alliance at the upcoming American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual General Meeting in February in San Diego. We look forward to meeting with senior representatives of the AAD, as well as connecting with many of our Members and stakeholders at our Skin Matters Reception on February 17, 2017.

The IADPO Board and staff are looking forward to new opportunities with stakeholders and partners in the global skin sector. Much work can be accomplished if we all continue to work together to build the dermatology patient movement. We look forward to connecting with you soon!
