GlobalSkin-Europe Community Consultations

Community building efforts started in the fall of 2020.

Based on individual interviews with European Patient Leaders, a landscape analysis was conducted, in order to design GlobalSkin-Europe in agreement with European patients’ needs and priorities.

European Members of GlobalSkin came together on January 29, 2021, to explore the common needs of dermatology patient organisations in the European region, prioritise the most important needs, and agree next steps for establishing GlobalSkin-Europe.

Following the lead of the first meeting, European Patient Leaders met again on March 3, 2021, where GlobalSkin-Europe Community was established and a Strategic Roadmap for the following year agreed as following:

In addition, an Advisory Committee, eight patient leaders from across Europe, was established as a result of this meeting, and a multistep approach was agreed upon to develop a community strategy for the following 3 years:

Consultations were also made with external stakeholders, within the framework of a multi-stakeholder meeting organised in coordination with the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), on April 20, 2021.

The Advisory Committee guided the process of building a three-year plan for the European Community, and this plan has been presented, known as Community Engagement Plan 2022-2024, during the GlobalSkin-Europe Forum, held on January 27, 2022.
