A New GlobalSkin Member Impact Fund Opportunity for 2024

Image

The prevalence of skin cancers continues to increase around the world, despite efforts toward the earlier detection and prevention of skin cancer. By empowering patient organizations to lead skin cancer awareness and prevention projects, together we can make an impact in changing the lives of those affected.

Many GlobalSkin Members directly support patients with skin cancer by providing connection, support, encouragement, along with educational resources. This additional category of the GlobalSkin Member Impact Fund will further support these activities.

Importance of Skin Cancer Prevention and Awareness

Skin cancer is largely preventable, and if caught early, it's usually curable. Awareness is key to supporting communities in understanding the importance of prevention. Knowledge can lead to action, and through this Skin Cancer Awareness funding opportunity, we provide patient organizations the resources to act.

We invite Full and Associate Member organizations, to apply for additional funding through the Member Impact Fund for projects raising awareness about all skin cancers, being inclusive of non-melanoma.

Resources

To assist with Member projects, GlobalSkin has compiled resources from Euromelanoma that contain information about the different types of skin cancer, risks, causes, and prevention. All tools are downloadable for your use.

We would like to thank Euromelanoma for granting us permission to use their resources and information in the creation of this webpage.
